NEXT MEETING
The next MOB meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m., Tuesday, July 19th at the Gorman Nature
Center, 2295 Lexington Avenue, Mansfield, Ohio. Also, plan on attending the “meeting” after
the meeting at McDonalds on Lexington Avenue.

THANK YOU
An official Thank YOU was given to the MOB by the State of Ohio Department of
Transportation. The Mid Ohio Bikers received a certificate of appreciation for past and ongoing
efforts to maintain the beauty of Ohio’s highways.
Also, an unofficial thank you to the loyal MOB members who collected trash before the June
meeting. Remember, “Many hands make for light work”. Our next litter pick-up is scheduled
for Tuesday, August 16th one hour prior the MOB meeting.

GOBA Adventure
There were 15 MOB members who rode the GOBA this year: Diane Hammett; Terry and Sheila
White; Mark and Cindy Brady; Stacy Leech; Randy Arnholt; Lynn Rush; Chuck Beck; Hillary
Barry; Ruthie Derr; Gail Lonsinger; Mike Shafer; and Joe and Edie Humphrey. Also riding
with the club were Edie’s brother and niece, David Black and his daughter, Robin Black. One
day riders were Joe Barry, Ron Jaques, and Brad Thompson. Two day rider was Bruce
Whitmyre. The GOBA was windy with little tail wind and mostly all head wind. Randy
Arnholt said his best time riding was Thursday, the last 15 miles of the ride there was a tail
wind so Randy and his MOB buddies formed a pace line and rode 15 miles at 25 mph.

Leanne News
Ron and Judy Jaques visited with Leanne and she seemed to be doing well. She was in good
spirits and in a chatty mood. Leanne thought that in the next couple weeks she might be
released to go home. At the time of their visit she was still not able to put much weight on her
feet and ankles and was still in a wheelchair although, her therapist had her walking down the
hall for short distances with a walker.

Mark your Calendar
Don’t forget to mark your calendar for Saturday, August 13th for a cookout at the home of Bill
and Jody Frasher, 495 Russell Road, Mansfield. Bill and Jody will be serving Brats and Chile
Dogs. All you need to bring is a lawn chair, a beverage, and a side dish.
